Special Needs Swimming.
Coaching staff at Dolphins are striving to help every child to reach their potential and to ensure that children with disability are given the same recreational opportunities as the rest of the community.
The club offers individual or group session for children with special needs at all levels of swimming - from floating exercises in the water for the most severely disabled, to actual swimming lessons for the more able.
The benefits of swimming are recognized as one of the best forms of therapy for children with disabilities and special educational needs. These benefits include: increased aerobic fitness, muscle strength, flexibility and endurance, decreased extraneous movements, improved communication skills, behavioral outcomes and relaxation, as well as greater self-control.
