About Us.
Training swimmers, creating legends.
Swimming is probably one of the best and most dedicated sporting disciplines. This, fun and healthy activity places no strain on the body while it strengthens muscles and improves endurance. Swimming is not only a sport, it is also a survival skill - being able to swim is a necessity, such as being able to read and write. With over 25 years experience and results to prove it, Dolphins Swimming Club is one of Namibia's best swimming facilities. The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities - its swimming programs offer a wide range of activities such as Baby Swimming, Learn to Swim, Competitive swimming, Special Needs swimming and Masters Swimming classes.
Dolphins Swimming club was established in 1997. Initially, it catered for babies and toddlers in learn to swim classes. In 1998, eight Dolphins swimmers competed in their first ever competitive event - Dillinger Cup, in Swakopmund. And a few years later Dolphins athletes featured in major international events - FINA World Championships and Junior Olympic Games.
Today, Dolphins is the largest swimming club in Namibia. We have over 700 swimmers of which 120 swim competitively and are registered with Namibia Swimming Federation (NASFED).
